Who We Are

The United Methodist Church is a worldwide connection of more than 12 million members in Africa, Asia, Europe and the United States. Our mission is “to make disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world.”

Trinity

We believe in God, who is one and is revealed in three distinct persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit. We believe Jesus is the son of God and his life, death and resurrection show God’s redeeming love for the world. We believe the Holy Spirit is God’s active presence in our midst.

Sharing Faith

As United Methodist, we articulate our faith in several way. First, our social principles help us to combine personal and social piety to make a difference in society. Next, our Articles of Religion and Confession of Faith state in detail our understanding of the Christian faith.
